Nabi Khan and Gani Khan escort Guru Ji as Uch Da Pir. Guru Ji left the Gari of Chamkaur and reached the jungles of Machiwara. Here he stayed with a Sikh called Gulaba. A lady who saw who it was brought a blue woven cloth for Guru Ji. This was made into a robe that resembled that worn by a holy man of a Pir. Guru ji was met by two Muslim pathans. Offering their services they agreed to carry Guru Ji on a 'palang' or cot, dressed as a Pir from Uch (Uch was then a famous center of holy men). As they travelled out they were stopped by the imperial forces who were still in persute of Guru Ji. The commander of the detachment questioned Guru ji but was not satisfied. He ordered Qazi Pir Mohammad to be brought. the commander asked the Qazi to identify the Pir. Qazi said " Do not stop this great and holy man, he is a high saint in union with Allah". The commander was satified and let them through. |
