The Cobra provides shade.
Once the young Guru Nanak had taken his cattle to the fields to graze. As he lay resting the rays of the sun fell on his face. A cobra crawled out from the undergrowth and spread its hood to provide shade over Guru Ji's divine face. A local official Rai Bular noticed this as he was passing . He went to see Guru Ji's father Mehta Kalu, "Kalu, we are truly blessed, my village survives because of his grace".
